United Fresh Produce Association and USDA hosted more than 30 produce professionals the week of January 26 for the Produce Inspection Training Program in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Attendees learned the fundamentals of produce inspection before participating in three days of hands-on commodity labs where they were able to apply the principles on real product inspections for citrus, strawberries, cucumbers, lettuces and more. After the course, the produce that passed inspection was donated to the Fredericksburg Area Food Bank.
