The Finance & Business Management Council focuses on a range of business issues impacting companies within the produce industry, such as financial and strategic business planning, family business and estate transfer, financing and investment, human resources issues such as insurance and health care, and other critical business functions.
If you have any questions about the council, please contact Julian Gamez, council staff liaison at 202.303.3405.

The Finance & Business Management Community keeps members up to date on issues and resources related to finance, human resources and business management topics of interest to professionals in the produce industry. Compensation & Benefits Survey and Report
The 2019 Produce Industry Compensation & Benefits Report included compensation information for produce industry members, providing key benchmarks for more than 30 full-time positions within the industry. This unique benchmarking tool provides produce industry employers reliable metrics on salaries and benefits for key positions and will help ensure your company is offering competitive compensation to your employees and offers an efficient way for produce industry employers to know if they are paying their top employees competitively.
The report is based on the results of a strictly confidential survey conducted of produce industry members by Industry Insights, Inc., an objective outside firm that specializes in such studies for many industries. Survey processing is conducted on an absolutely anonymous basis.
Companies that participated in the survey will be eligible to receive a fully-customized report for their company at the discounted rate of $195. The pricing for companies who did not participate in the survey is $495 for members and $695 for non-members.
Legal Labeling Review Service
United Fresh Produce Association has partnered with OFW Law, a law firm with expertise in food & agriculture regulatory issues, to provide members access to a legal review of product labels. United Fresh members can submit their proposed final label to OFW Law for review. OFW Law will review the label for compliance with the Fair Label & Packaging Act, the Food & Drug Cosmetic Act, and applicable state labeling laws, and will make recommendations on any revisions needed for compliance.
The cost for label review is $600 per label. Substantially similar labels, such as different SKUs/counts of the same product with similar labeling claims, may be considered under one label review.
