In light of last month's magnitude-8.8 earthquake and the associated damage to infrastructure in rural areas, the Chilean Exporters Association (ASOEX) has announced that it will organize a relief campaign to support reconstruction of a rural school in one of the affected agricultural regions.

To channel voluntary donations made by members of the domestic and international fresh fruit community towards this campaign, a special account will be set up and will be audited by an internationally-recognized entity.
