Produce industry members interested in learning about the fundamentals of the USDA produce quality inspection process can register now for our June 2-6 and September 22-26 courses. Presented by the United Fresh Research & Education Foundation in partnership with the USDA, the Produce Inspection Training Program offers a comprehensive overview of USDA inspection procedures and standards through lab training courses, classroom lectures and discussion sessions with USDA trainers. The weeklong program is developed into two specialized courses: Introduction to Produce Inspection and Advanced Produce Inspection. Each advanced course includes inspection of grapes, lettuces, potatoes, strawberries and tomatoes â€" PLUS, each course will be customized with up to TEN additional commodities, based on the attendees’ most common preferences. Class size is limited and available on a first-come, first-served registration basis.
