United Fresh Produce Association had two very successful meetings this week in Las Vegas, both with the convention committee and the exhibitor marketing workshop. The convention committee explored ways to better work with exhibitors, recruit more attendees and build better educational opportunities. “I think it goes without saying that United Fresh is going to have an awesome convention; we had a great planning meeting this past week, in which a lot of out-of-the box thinking took place in regards to conventions,” said Fred Williamson, Andrew & Williamson, United Fresh Convention Co-Chair. “I echo Fred’s comments and it amazed me to see the breadth and depth of commitment from the industry to United Fresh’s Annual Convention. It was great to see first-hand all of the thrilling plans that are being made for the Las Vegas event - I can't wait to attend with my team” said Ron Anderson, Spartan Stores and United Fresh Convention Co-Chair. And those who attended the marketing workshop channeled energy and purpose for exhibiting in general, and more specifically at United Fresh, Las Vegas 2008. “I am simply amazed about how little I knew about trade show marketing! And I have been in this business for over 20+ years. I am going back to my company with a renewed sense of mission and purpose when it comes to United Fresh’s trade show this year,” said Alan Heinzen, Heinzen Manufacturing and United Fresh Convention Committee Co-Chair. A special thanks to convention committee members who took the time out of their busy schedules to make these productive meetings.
