(Washington, DC) - United Fresh, Las Vegas 2008 opens its doors November 7 with an online guide to all aspects of the convention and an easy-to-use registration system at http://www.unitedfreshshows.com/.
“United Fresh, Las Vegas 2008 is set to include everything produce industry members need to make their businesses grow, including first-rate educational workshops, top speakers, two leading produce industry expositions, formal and informal networking opportunities and more,” said United Fresh Chairman Emanuel Lazopoulos, Del Monte Fresh Produce, in launching this year’s convention registration site.
“Our convention committee, headed by Ron Anderson, Spartan Stores; Alan Heinzen, Heinzen Manufacturing; and Fred Williamson, Andrew and Williamson Fresh Produce, is hard at work developing the perfect combination of solid business education and fun networking events for the Las Vegas show,” he said.
Attendees will learn about emerging produce trends in educational sessions, find innovative solutions in two dynamic trade expositions, and make new contacts in various networking events throughout the show. The May 4-7, 2008 convention will include the United FreshTech expo, specializing in tools, technologies, equipment, goods and services for fresh-cut and total produce supply chain solutions; the United Fresh Marketplace expo, featuring produce marketing and merchandising innovations for retail and foodservice; two breakfast general sessions; 16 workshops including both technical and marketing tracks; a Food Safety & Technical Seminar; industry tours to retail, foodservice and fresh-cut operations, the Viva Las Vegas! Opening Party; Chairman’s Reception & Annual Awards Banquet; Reception Honoring Women in Produce; and the United Fresh Research & Education Foundation Golf Tournament.
“United Fresh, Las Vegas 2008 promises to bring energy, excitement and real business opportunities to global partners throughout the fresh produce industry,” Lazopoulos concluded.
