United Fresh Senior Vice President of Food Safety & Technology Dr. Dave Gombas addressed attendees at the Institute for Food Technologists' annual conference in Chicago.  In his presentation, entitled "Produce Safety, What is the Industry Doing?" Gombas educated the attendees, who were from various sectors throughout the food industry, about Good Agricultural Practices, Commodity Specific Guidelines, new Best Practices built into the 2006 Lettuce and Leafy Greens Commodity Specific Guidance document, and the Leafy Greens Handlers Marketing Agreement.
