USDA Seeks Nominees for Industry Advisory Committee

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced this week that it is seeking nominations for the 2007-2009 Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee. The committee, which provides ongoing advice and counsel from the industry to the Secretary of Agriculture, will consist of up to 25 representatives from all sectors of the industry. Nominations for this important committee must be received by July 19. The committee is currently scheduled to begin work in late 2007. Any industry member interested in serving may apply directly as instructed in the news release at www.ams.usda.gov (at the time of this publication their site was down).
