Based on the much anticipated action in the Senate to consider comprehensive immigration legislation at the end of May, United Fresh will host a grassroots lobby day on Capitol Hill. Scheduled for May 16, the event will be held in conjunction with the Agriculture Coalition for Immigration Reform (ACIR), the National Council of Agriculture Employers (NCAE), and U.S Apple Association. "The grassroots fly-in is an important opportunity to encourage our elected representatives to enact comprehensive immigration reform legislation," said Robert Guenther, United Fresh senior vice president of public policy. All United Fresh members are invited and encouraged to participate in this grassroots event. Registration is free and information can be found online at Immigration Fly-In Registration. Click here to download a registration form or contact Andrew Marshall at United Fresh at (202) 303-3407. For more information, contact Robert Guenther at (202) 303-3409.
