Industry Stakeholders Provide Input on Research Programs

Representatives from production agriculture and processing industries, met at the Western Regional Research Center (WRRC) in Albany, Calif. this week to provide input on the agency's ongoing research programs. During the Research Partnership meeting at WRCC, Dr. Jim Gorny, United Fresh senior vice president of food safety and technology, provided an industry update on produce food safety research priorities. The group also discussed future stakeholder needs and the direction of the WRRC and its research programs. "We appreciated the opportunity to participate in this forum and to help ensure that key produce industry issues are being addressed by the WRCC," said Dr. Gorny.
