Foodservice Distributors Tackle Produce Food Safety

United Fresh Senior Vice President Dr. Jim Gorny met with members of the foodservice distribution industry this week in Atlanta, GA, providing distributors with a detailed look at steps the produce industry is taking to enhance produce safety. Dr. Jim Gorny addressed the International Food Distributors Association's Food Safety and Security Committee, which is actively exploring the role distributors should play in the supply chain on food safety issues. "Foodservice distributors provide a critical link in helping assure the safety of produce delivered to the end consumer," said Dr. Gorny.
