United Fresh is offering a new fresh-cut quality and safety "short course" for European members to be held in Bari, Italy at the Instituto Agronomico Mediterraneo, March 12-14. The three-day course will cover quality factors affecting fresh-cut products, cultivar selection, fresh-cut processing and packaging, temperature management, good agricultural practices, good manufacturing practices, microbiological testing and other safety and quality issues. Instructors include United Fresh's Senior Vice President of Food Safety and Technology Dr. Jim Gorny and other top scientists and academic professionals from the US, Italy, Spain, Greece, and Israel.
