USDA's Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) announced it is revising U.S. grades standards for cantaloupes and parsley, as well as issuing voluntary grade standards for pea pods and ginseng. These changes will bring the grades standards for these products in line with current marketing practices, thus improving the usefulness of the standards in serving the industry. AMS is currently seeking comments regarding these changes and other suggested amendments. To review the standards and submit comments, click here. For questions or more information, contact Cheri Emery, USDA AMS, at Cheri.Emery@usda.gov or Autumn Veazey, United Fresh director of legislative affairs, at (202) 303-3427.
